1. Of Nations (Lowell, MA)
Music:

It isn’t very often that a start up band comes out of the gate kicking. This is not the case with Of Nations. Having only started last year, this band is already prepared to take the metalcore music scene by storm. Touting a tight sound and quality production, the band’s debut single “Silhouettes” was definitely a powerful start. Following that up with their debut EP “1776,” the band is certainly en route to a rewarding music career. Make sure to give their music a listen and keep this rising talent on your radar.
2. The Forsaken Prodigy (Marietta, GA)
Music:

Reminiscent of early The Devil Wears Prada, like back in the “Dear Love” days, this band definitely has some real potential. The first single “Just One Chance,” is an ambitious blend of sounds and influences that range from TDWP to Alensa. I would definitely love to hear a high-end production of this metal excursion. Make sure to check out their facebook for a link to their latest live performance. Pretty dope stuff.
3. Your Hands Write History (Medford, Oregon)
Music:

I’m a sucker for unique and creative vocals. And Your Hands Write History, definitely offers a wonderful addition to the genre. Somewhere between scream and angst, the vocals stand out as a staple for this Oregon four peace. Couple that with all the expressive trappings of melodic metalcore band, and it’s plain to see that Your Hands Write History is suiting up to be a major force in the industry.
4. Abandoner (Milford, MA)

With no shortage of downtempo bands in the metal scene, finding one that stands
out can be a challenge. With raspy, brutal vocals and eerie lead lines, the band Abandoner
brings some fresh sounds to the over saturated genre with their EP “Demons.” However,
in a recent facebook post, Abandoner made an announcement stating that they would be making a big change in direction, even hinting at a name change. Their last show
under the name Abandoner will take place at the Don’t Cross The Streams tour kickoff on
June 1st. (see full post: https://www.facebook.com/AbandonerMA/posts/1700329650208574)
We are super excited to see what the next step is for the guys in Abandoner, and you should
be too! Go show these guys some love.

City Of Ghosts, an up and coming progressive alternative rock band from Milwaukee, is nothing short of impressive. 6. Kaos Reign (Norwalk, CT)
Music:
https://www.reverbnation.com/kaosreign
Hailing from Norwalk, Kaos Reign is a true metal band. Incorporating sounds reminiscent
of bands like Slayer and Pantera, they are sure to please any metalhead. Their first release
in 2014, “Embrace The Fire” was a big success and playing off of that momentum, they released their latest record, “Screaming For Salvation” just this past January. Kaos Reign stepped up their game with this latest full-length, showcasing more mature writing and higher quality production. The thrashy riffs and grungy vocals gives them a sound that sets them apart from the rest of the crowd and gives hope to a bright future for the band.
7. Fallible (Omaha, NE)
Music:
http://fallible.bandcamp.com/
Modern rock band Fallible pushes the envelope with their music. Founded in 2013, the band has released one EP (Awake In Dreams, 2014) and one full length (Left Behind, 2015). Awake In Dreams combines open, alternative rock choruses with heavy guitar riffs and grungy vocals. Verging on metalcore, yet still maintaining the modern rock sound, their first EP has something for every rock/metal listener. However, with their most recent release, Fallible seems to have settled into their sound. Slightly softer and more melodic than their first album, Left Behind is a mature and well composed album. Instead of doing away with the screaming from their first EP, the band has incorporated the growls in such a way that truly accents the music. Keep your eyes on Fallible as they continue to make strides with their music!
8. Epicenter (Pelham, NH)
Music:
https://www.facebook.com/EpicenterMetal/app/470868196288052/
The only thing that comes to mind when I spin these tracks is kicking back and tearing up the streets in a tricked out yellow taxi. Blending classic rock and thrash metal vibes, Epicenter is an exceptional retelling of a classic genre. Their fast and dirty riffs are perfect for any headbanging temperament. If you have long hair, a taste for speed, and an appreciation for everything metal, Epicenter is a rare treat in today’s music scene.
9. The Grave Hookers (Richmond, VA)
Music:
https://thegravehookers.bandcamp.com/track/pleasure
The Grave Hookers is a one of a kind experience. Describing themselves as “garage/punk/blues/sludge,” this drum and bass duo is an eclectic blend of musical stylings. From ‘70s synths and lounge-lizard drum beats, to vogue-inspired vocals, this band is a testament to the endless creativity of the human mind. The next time you are in need of a bluesy trip through a phonic wonderland, pull up The Grave Hookers and let the sorrows roll.
10. Take Heart (Raleigh, NC)
Music:
https://www.reverbnation.com/takeheartnc
Clayton North Carolina is home to DIY hardcore band Take Heart. Using the hard
hitting genre as a means to convey a message of hope, Take Heart is in a unique position to inspire others with their message. The band has stayed away from typical hardcore music tropes with how they write. Instead of breakdown after breakdown, Take Heart will get you
moving with their well written progressions and gang vocals. Go give their full length record
“Family Affair” a spin and get ready for a ride.
