During a Florida tour with Stages and A Dying Breed, we had a show booked in Tallahassee at a bar called Atmosphere Pub. While trying to locate Atmosphere, we had some difficulty spotting it. From the road there was no sign, but from the back there was a door covered in graffiti and band stickers. We walked through the big metal door into a small hallway with the stage on the right. The room was cooled with music blaring.
The bar had a few drafts available (Bud Light, Yuengling, and Pabst Blue Ribbon), while also offering domestic and imported craft beers. The sound technician mixed each band really well and put in the extra effort to mic up each drum individually. Atmosphere had tables set up in the back for the bands to display their merch, and gave us fair warning of when we needed to be out of the venue. Overall, our experience at Atmoshpere was excellent and we would love to come out there again someday.
When preparing the stage for our set, there was plenty of room to back line cabs to create smooth transitions between bands on the lineup. The stage had plenty of room for us, and that’s rare considering we have six band members including a keyboardist that takes up 4’x6’ with his set up. The staff and sound technician were friendly and good at what they do, we were thankful to be playing there. The staff also gave the band members tickets to turn in for a free cup of Pabst Blue Ribbon, a perk we have not experienced at any other venue.
